Use Morph in Claude
Setup takes two minutes.
1. Add the connector
In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector (or install it from the connectors directory), and paste https://mcp.runmorph.dev/mcp. Claude opens a Google sign-in. Morph only uses your Google address, name and domain to recognise you.
2. Choose a workspace
At the end of the sign-in you choose which workspace this connection opens, or create one. A free workspace keeps its data on your Mac: it answers while the Morph Mac app is open and signed in with the same account. A cloud workspace (paid plans) is hosted by Morph; a team cloud workspace can have several people, each with their own rights. Add the connector again, with another name, to use another workspace.
3. Ask
Try: “Describe my Morph workspace”, “Create a table of my invoices and import this CSV”, “Connect HubSpot and load the deals, then tell me the revenue by month and show the rows behind January”.
What the tools do
| Area | Tools |
|---|---|
| Read and explore | workspace_describe, sql_query (read-only, capped), table_describe, table_profile, table_history, workspace_guide, workspace_health |
| Questions (a number and its rows) | question_define, question_run, question_record, question_list, question_history, question_drop |
| Write data | table_define, table_upsert, sql_execute, view_define, view_refresh, check_define, check_run, table_drop, view_drop |
| Files | file_upload_request (a one-time link: file contents never go through the AI), file_put, file_list, file_profile, import_run, import_recipe_save |
| Connectors to other services | connector_scaffold, connector_define, connector_test, connector_call (one read-only request), connector_run, connector_stream_set, connection_list, job_status, job_cancel |
Safety, in short
- Your agent can never widen its own rights: rights are set by you (free workspace) or by the workspace administrator.
- Every read goes through a read-only connection; hidden tables and columns do not exist for the person they are hidden from.
- A connector runs a dry run first; nothing is written until a real run follows a clean dry run.
- Secrets (API keys, passwords) are typed by a person in the administrator console, never by the agent, and are never returned.
- Every call asks for a short reason (
why) so the activity log says what each step was for.
Troubleshooting
“Not reachable” on a free workspace: open the Morph Mac app and sign in with the same Google account. No tools after an update: reload the connector or start a new conversation. Anything else: contact support.
